Almost 4yrs ago I took my first shaky steps in the Salsa world, nervously stumbling through that first hour before hugging the walls and hiding at the back of the room with my beer. The free dancing I was watching after the lessons was electric and a million miles away from my less than perfect basic step! It was too late... although I didn't realise it immediately, Salsa had already started to weave its magic and within weeks I was hooked. The lessons were fantastic and the feet began to submit and follow the brain. The club nights were a joy to look forward to and I had even slipped into my first ever pair of dance shoes.. but I wanted more!

I wanted to bring the music home, with my own collection, I wanted to check out the salsa parties and clubs outside my area, I wanted to try out the special events and congresses and I wanted to learn more. Generally I wanted to be more involved with, and more aware of, the greater salsa experience... so it was hours on iTunes and the web after work searching and reading countless newsletters, when what I really wanted was that world to come to me! Something I could really get my teeth into, that made me feel involved and gave me an insight into the full UK salsa scene, both nationally and locally.

Like I've said that was the best part of four years ago.... now by some minor miracle, I've learned enough, trained and practiced enough to be able to teach. I'm still hooked! Salsa still excites and surprises me but I still don't feel that salsa world 'coming to me' so I decided to go and make it happen! To bring the Salsa world to you! To bring you Uniquely Salsa!
